Did You Know?
Taking folic acid supplements while pregnant helps prevent serious birth defects of the spinal cord (such as spina bifida) and the brain (anencephaly). Such defects occur at a very early stage of development, so it's recommended women who are planning to become pregnant also take Folic Acid.
